Are showers open communal spaces of just shower head after shower head or is their some sort of privacy in the Army Training Barracks?

It depends which barracks and what sort of accommodation you're in. On one end of the scale there is sometimes a huge room with lots of showers and no privacy, on the other end of the scale you have an individual shower in your own bathroom.
