I am currently sitting the SQE and am very interested in finding out more about the legal officer role.
Thank you for getting in touch.
I’m afraid I'm not 100% sure based on the question whether you have Qualifying Work Experience and will become a qualified solicitor once you pass the SQE exams, or whether they would be looking to join as a Cadet to complete your training contract with the Army in order to qualify as a solicitor.
If the former, there are regular insight visits for professionally qualified (or soon to be professionally qualified) candidates in Worthy Down. If you are professionally qualified, I would always encourage people to apply and to find out more through the application process as it can be quite long.
If the latter, you might want to consider applying for a Cadetship. The next round of applications is due to open on 1 Jun 27. It is very competitive, but a fantastic offer.
If you want more personalised advice, email armyjobs-legal@mod.gov.uk.
Best of luck!
Josh
