as a chef in the army is there a chance i could end up on the front lines???

Hello Lilly-May L.
All soldiers are trained, at a minimum, in basic dismounted close combat. So, yes, Chefs could potentially be employed in 'front line' activity. However, generally any combat tasks are allocated to 'Combat' roles, and Chef is a 'Combat Service Support' role.
