Harry W. asked a question to Kyle P.
Military Police have two distinct roles which fall into general policing duty and operational duty.
General policing duty is the investigation of criminal activity by service personnel and other persons subject to service law. This could be a theft or a more serious offence such as assault. This is done wherever the British Army is, both in the UK and abroad.
Operationally, Military Police not only investigate criminal activity but also support combat operations through mobility support, security and close support with other military elements.
