Can you be an Army and not go to war
Thank you for your question. I suppose it depends what you mean.
If you mean could you end up having a career in the army and not get sent to a combat zone? Then yes, lots of people do that. There are lots of roles that are not directly involved in combat and, currently, there are no direct combat operations happening which we are sending troops to (I'm not considering Special Forces in that).
If you mean can you refuse to go to war if you are in the army then no. We are all trained to be combat soldiers first so we can do that job if it is required. Being in a conflict location, there is no such thing as 100% security, so we must all expect to be able to defend ourselves if the need arises.
