Owen R. asked a question to Michael K.
I am interested in a role as a legal officer and would be grateful for any further information about this position. I am grateful.
That's a great question.
Day to day life depends on which Army Legal Services assignment you are posted to. For example, you might be advising the chain of command on administrative and disciplinary matters; briefing soldiers on the Law of Armed Conflict; deployed on Exercise or operations; attending military or legal courses; or prosecuting at a Court Martial hearing. Suffice to say, day to day life is very varied.
If you’d like to hear more about life as an ALS officer from serving officers, I’d recommend attending one of ALS’ webinars. These take place a couple of times each year and officers provide an insight into their careers and answer questions from listeners. Email ArmyJobs-Legal@mod.gov.uk for more information.
