Hi, thank you for your question.
When serving in the Army, you do not always have your own bathroom. This depends on your rank, the type of accommodation you are allocated, and your unit or location. Soldiers living in Single Living Accommodation often have their bathroom facilities, particularly junior ranks, although senior ranks are more likely to have en‑suite bathrooms, especially in newer or refurbished accommodation blocks. Those living in Service Family Accommodation will have their own private bathroom, similar to civilian housing. While on exercise, training, or operations, private bathrooms are not available and washing facilities are shared or temporary.
