Do you have to live in units even if youre role isnt actually fighting eg : doctor ?? like can you just go home instead. also when youre not on mission do you stay in one place (like to do you get stationed in different areas of the UK every 6 month )

You do not need to live on camp, but many choose to do so because of how much cheaper it is than buying or renting your own accommodation. The exception to this is during your basic and initial trade training.

Just most jobs, you can leave when you're not working. A working week in the Army almost mirrors a 9-5 job outside the Army when not on exercise or operations. Again, an exception to this is during basic and initial trade training.

Your posting lengths and locations will depend on your role. For example, my postings have been 3-4 years at each unit, and each unit has been in South England.
