Hello, Just wondering how it works if I apply when I already have a degree in Environmental health. As well if there's any benefits to joining with the degree
If you are already qualified in the field you would complete your basic training and would not need to become a student before moving onto your unit. If already qualified i might suggest looking at the officer role for the same job as it will give you extra responsibilities and more pay. This of course would be up to yourself to make the decision.
There are plenty of benefits doing the job through the Army as every soldier/officer would be entitled to. There would also be scope for you to obtain your masters in the current field which the Army will either help fund or fully pay for.
You may have to complete some additional training to help you understand a few differences and how to operate in the job role within some of the environments we work in but you will be fully supported by your team and could potentially spend a lot of time travelling learning more about tropical diseases which you may not have the oppourtunit to do outside of the Army.
