How can you decide what job role is for you, exactly? Like, how did you know what job role was for you?

That's a really good question. It is so important to find the place where you belong.

I think the best thing to do is to look at what it is you enjoy now in your civilian life and then find the job that most closely aligns to that. I loved teaching so I joined the Educational and Training Services to teach, but I have friends who loved messing with their car and joined the REME or had enjoyed gliding and went to the Army Air Corps to fly.

Try the role finder on the army website and see how much variety exists, there is something for everyone.

  • I agree with Josh think about a job you would to in life and see if Army offers or similar, also do research on the jobs where would you be based etc what does it say in information regarding progression and qualifications you could gain.
