Leigh H. asked a question to Paul F.
Thanks for your question Leigh.
The answer is pretty simple, we spend our free time much the same way that anyone would - doing the things we enjoy! For some it is spending it with their families, for others it is playing video games. The great thing about the army is the opportunities it gives you to find like-minded individuals and try things you wouldn't be able to in other jobs.
I've qualified as both a mountain bike and kayaking instructor and tried so many other activities I never thought I would before. Now I can apply those skills to my hobbies when I'm not in work. I also know there will always be people I work with who would be keen to come with me because the sense of adventure is a common feeling among soldiers.
