How long would a CMT be deployed for? And does the CMT get a say in the matter?

This varies CMT can get overseas postings for 2-3 years but that would be on a voluntary basis. You often get a say if you want to go somewhere or not but sometime they might not have a choice but to send you if no one else is available or meets the right criteria. Deployments can vary in the UK could be anywhere from a few days to 6-8 weeks. If its an operational tour then you're looking between 6-8 months.
