I don’t know if this is the right route for me, I know what I want but I don’t know the logistics of this role enough

Aj R. asked a question to Melissa C.

I really want to be trained in trauma medicine. I have a level 3 in policing but that’s all after I left school. I want to be medically trained, helping and I want adrenaline with every day to be different! I don’t know if this is the right route for me but I wanted to put my feelers out

Please look at the army jobs site and on the role finder you can set filters based on qualifications or job type. You would need to meet the entry criteria for medical job roles so this may require you to go back to college or talk to the NRC on 0345 600 80 80 to see if a functional skills equivalent is acceptable for the roles. If not there are plenty of other jobs that allow you to join without any qualifications, if you still have an interest in medical you could later look at doing things such as a team medic course to enhance your skills although this would not be you main job. Alternatively talk to your local careers office and they should help point you in the right direction and give you more information on different job roles you may be suited for.
