I am a Royal Engineer of 12 years. The life of a combat engineer can be very varied and exciting.
Life will depend of the plans the regiment you join has. Places the Royal Engineers visit frequently are Kenya, Estonia, Belize, Germany (to just name a few).
The Army offers great opportunity for adventurous training too, skiing, rock climbing etc.
