I work full time but want to join the reserves and don’t know where to start and role I would do best in, any advice?

I am 28 working in real estate, I’ve always wanted to be part of something bigger such as the British Army. I am big into adventure, the outdoors and my fitness playing social rugby and entering in the occasional white collar boxing match. Would like to guidance on next best steps.

    Good evening Nick,

Great to hear that you want to enhance your skillset and become part of our team.

Most good employers within the UK nowadays recognize that amongst them are a whole host of reserve soldiers that work along side them and even give time off to deploy on Operations, exercises or AT with relative ease.

I'd encourage you to make an application online, from there potentially engage with your current line manager/ co workers to gauge if it's possible for you to commit to both roles simultaneously. Don't be discouraged if you don't get the answer you would like. The Army Reserves are very flexible around your typical day to day commitments in your civilian job.
