If you decide that the Army isn't for you after completing your apprenticeship, you can choose to "sign off".
To do this, you'll need to have served for 3 years (that includes your time in training) and give 1 year notice.
For example: if you started Basic Training 01 Jan 20, you could sign off on 01 Jan 23 and be out by 01 Jan 24.
Some people feel like 4 years is a long time, but don't forget you'd be leaving with great work experience, qualifications, and mates for life.
