If I want to be a Sniper for the SAS, what will I need to do and how long will it take to get there.

    Hi William,

    If it is a Sniper you are interested in then our Infantry and Light Cavalry Units are those that would be of most interest for you. You would first train as a soldier and then attend course after proving you ability when in unit. To train as a Sniper will take some time in itself and when you are then in the Army Special Forces selection will be available to you. As a rough guess it could be five or six years in the Army before you come to being in a good position for selection.
