If in regular infantry battalion and I want to progress further into more specialised infantry i.e paras special forces.
Are there opportunities to progress further into more elite roles

Yes absolutely, all special forces roles ( SAS, SBS and SRR ) are open to serving soldiers after a certain time served etc.
Paras train in the Infantry training centre and is a direct entry so you can enlist direct.
