If my eyesight is only slightly worse than the requirements e.g -6.25 or -6.5 will I still be able to join the infantry?
also if not where can I find what roles don't require as good eyesight?

Eye sight is job specific if you have been told that you do not meet the requirements for the infantry then you would be better off at looking at other job roles that you will be suited for. Advice on what job roles you will be suited for can be obtained your local careers office as the system tells them the pass mark for each job.
Before approaching the careers office make sure that you have done your research and you have an idea about what interests you have so a suitable job can be found and allocated.
