If someone is prescribed antidepressants but no longer requires them nor administers them, can they still join the Army?

To be more precise, how long does ine have to wait in order to be medically cleared if previously prescribed the lowest dosage of anti-depressants possible?

My apologies for the spelling error, I meant to state ‘how long does one have to wait’.

    Hi Regan,

This will depend on how 'severe' the depression was deemed with dates ranging from a year to two. In order to get advice that is bespoke to you, by submitting an application our medical team will gain access to your medical records and can advise you of how long that will be. They might then place a deferral to your application to allow this time to elapse but you will at least have the right answer for you.
