You can transfer to The Parachute Regiment from any role.
There's a lot to transferring, but to answer your question: just because you have trained at P Coy while serving in the RLC does not mean that you are ready to become a Paratrooper: they have a different job so they have had different training.
Unlike those who directly join The Parachute Regiment, Soldiers in the RLC who have attended P Coy normally complete "All Arms Pre-Parachute Selection" so that they can work at 13 Air Assault Support Squadron to provide logistic support to 16 Air Assault Brigade.
