so say if i get accepted as a reserve and get called in to go overseas for example will i absolutely have to go and is there any kind of âpunishmentsâ if you donât go
Hi, as an Army Reservist you are that - a reserve. Unless for example World War 3 was called, the chances of every single reservist being mobilised is very very remote!
On any job that Reservists are ask to do (ie recently flooding or helping in the vaccination centres) the Army asks for volunteers across the hundreds of Reserve units.
Usually there are a lot of volunteers - those who aren't in full time employment, those who don't have family at home etc.
If you were called to go overseas because the whole country was at war and you chose not to, then joining the Reserves probably isn't the job for you anyway ;)
