Hello and thanks for your question,
I totally get you have a lot to consider as a family. I would recommend giving this blog a read to learn more about family life in the British Army.
It's hard to give any exact answers as it really does depend on the role, regiment, requirement for exercise/operations, but all I can say if that Soldiers join the Army every day with families, and obviously become families when in, so it's recognised that there is a wider network to think about when it comes to work/life balance.
