PQO Reserve training

I am due to start the process of becoming a PQO. Where would I be expected to work when I am doing my annual hours? Are my hours just compromised of drill nights, training weekends and annual two week training camp? Secondly, what rank would I be on completing everything?

PQOs usually start at the rank of captain, I think this is the same for regulars and reserves but am unsure. You would need to talk to the reserve recruitment team to find out in more detail. Hours are usually made up of the already stated such as drill nights etc it would be up to you to be able to maintain your hours for the job role that you are doing whether that is through the military or outside. Depending on the specific job there may be better opportunities within.

Thank you. I’m a nurse so do plenty of hours in my normal job! But interested to see what extra I can do within the Army. Thank you for your reply.

Yes plenty of opportunities as a nurse in healthcare particular in primary health and opportunities within military hospitals.
