Jayden H. asked a question to Connor T.
Hey, I’m really close to signing up for the army at the minute but my only thoughts are what can I do at 16 and I need help with what role would suit me and my GCSEs
Hey Jayden, thanks for your question.
At the age of 16 you have lots of options available to you and I certainly recommend checking out the Army Jobs website.
If you are thinking of being a soldier, you are the right age to apply for the Army Foundation College Harrogate. There are two intakes to Harrogate each year, March and September. You need to be between 16 and 17 years, 5 months when you start.
If you want to stay in fulltime education, the army will be here when you are ready. If you want to go on to further education or are considering the officer route, check out the bursary and scholarship schemes which can financially support you before you join the army.
Good luck.
