Joe E. asked a question to Abbie L.
That's a great question. I remember being quite nervous and excited on my first day as a Regular for basic training. That said, some of the unknown had been removed after having done some time in the Reserves which is a great way to introduce yourself to army life.
What I can certainly say is how happy I was when I passed out of basic training. There are difficult bits but it was all worth it.
Josh
My first day in training was a whirlwind, I remember making my way on the train and by my second change a few girls from selection were also getting on same train so we sat together and had a chat, people where all going through the same feelings excitement, anticipation etc so it was good to talk them over. Once we arrived it was briefs, kit collection selection and room allocation and camp orientation. Although I have been to a few units now it still feels same first day and week but you soon get settled.
Thank you and I’m like really nervous
Joe just know you will not be the only one, starting any career is big but add being away from support network and it is amplified. You will soon make strong bonds which will get you through the harder days and you can call your family and friends during free time.
Yeah that’s true and yeah thank you
